 Kaiju Wars
Hey, what do you guys think would happen if the classic monsters were pitted against the monsters in the Morpha books? How about these fights:
Godzilla vs Slayer Rodan vs Razorwing Kumunga vs Scorpius Prime Gamera vs Horror King Gidorah vs Serpent King King Kong vs Gigataur Mothra vs Firesting Baragon vs Spikedevil King Cesar vs Wolfwar Gigan vs Fury
Man, that would be wild!

I've never heard of the Morpha books. Care to educate me?

 Re: Kaiju Wars
A quick bit of web-fu leads me to strongly suspect our new member is, in fact, "S. M. Stoffel", the author of the "Morpha" series of books (there are three, and they're pretty cheap if you really are that curious,) made with Createspace, an e-publishing agency much like Lulu, using our board to make an attempt at viral marketing.

 Re: Kaiju Wars
Bad luck, chum. We don't fall for viral marketing around here. We're only swayed by normal big-budget corporate marketing.

You know how I am by now-- I always like to give a shill a chance to prove they're not just a shill.

Hey, what do you guys think would happen if the classic monsters were pitted against the biggest stars of the Lifetime Movie Network? How about these fights:
Godzilla vs Meredith Baxter Birney Rodan vs Tori Spelling King Gidorah vs Melissa Gilbert Mothra vs Alyssa Milano Gigan vs Fantasia Barrino
Man, that would be wild! And, also, very touching and poignant.

 Re: Kaiju Wars
There's an inherent flaw in your attempt at satire, KO Robb. I WANT TO SEE THEM. And by the way, I'm also kind of interested in these Morpha books, too. At least in this case, he's tapping into the right demographic.

 Re: Kaiju Wars
This is the best I could do on short notice: Sex, Lies, and the Smell of Burning Japanese Tanks, this week on The Lifetime Movie Network....

 Re: Kaiju Wars
you know dude, if you just fessed up and admitted you were the author, or something like that, you'd probably get a lot more support from us... I mean, someone who'd go through the trouble of using an e-publisher obviously cares about their writing in the sense that they're not so much looking for profit, as they're looking more to tell their stories.

 Re: Kaiju Wars
Choconado, Nobody directly asked me if I was the author. If anyone here was ever on the IMDB boards for the last few Godzilla movies, you might remember me. "Final Wars" a few years ago was the last one I participated in. I've been on other boards, too, but mainly as a lurker. I spent a few years trying to figure out what kaiju fans like and don't like in monster stories. I can tell you one thing: It was hard to get people to agree on anything! Anyway, I'm an engineer who grew up with Ultraman and the Big G. "Morpha" is my contribution to the kaiju sub-genre. I've done some advertising (the kind you pay for) and was curious to see if I'd reached the kaiju fan base yet. Obviously not. I choose to "probe" this board, because it's a general giant monster board. No offense intended to anyone. So what's the hot topic around here?

 Re: Kaiju Wars
that wasn't so hard, was it? Now I respect you as more than a shill. Stick around a while and you'll probably fit right in.

 Re: Kaiju Wars
How about Godzilla vs Reese Witherspoon - She got "big" last year (Aliens vs Monsters) Iron Man vs Scarlett Johansen - Wait, we ARE going to see that one! Having fun.
