Hey, if Malorie's got shrooms ....
In the meanwhile - that looks rather awesome. Given the gulf between the quality of japanese trailers and the quality of the actual movie, I remain cautiously optimistic.
The look of the monsters was kinda weird. I assume they're CGI, but they have a very "real" look to them, like they may be part creature shop.
Is that the case ... I hope I hope I hope.
Anything to pump some life into the embiggened creatures fighting on screen genre.

yeah, looks like an integration of cgi and "real" monster effects to my eyes. It also looks awesome to them too.

The disc is available from Yes Asia and probably elsewhere as an R3. There's an Aussie version too (R4), but its more expensive.

I've had a damn hard time seeing this. First I found out it was playing the AFI Film Festival here in Dallas last year, but too late to get tickets. Then it was supposed to be screened at last year's T-Fest but the guy bringing it couldn't make it and couldn't get it sent out in time. I have made it my goal this year to see this movie, no matter what.
------------------------ And you can take that to the bank.

Man. WTF?! Why can this movie NOT be released nationwide for one week. Why does this movie NOT have a goddamn release in the United States. WHY DOES A F****** AMERICAN CORPORATION DICTATE TO ME WHAT MOVIES I CAN AND CANNOT SEE!

Oh man, where's the Angelika?? I've been in love with them since they played that wonderful print of Gojira a few years back. I also got to see The Host thanks to them.
