Did you ever find something on the internet, then have trouble finding it again? It happens to me all the time, and this one's a doozy.
I'm looking for any and all information about an Australian kids' TV show called "The Dragon Chronicles," which may or may not exist. It's a sort of Wonderland/Narnia mashup about a girl who accidentally stumbles through a portal to a fantasy world inhabited only by mythical creatures, and spends the next two years (2002-2003) trying to get home.
I don't remember what I was Googling for when I first stumbled onto the possible existence of "The Dragon Chronicles" about 5 years ago. It was listed on TvTome.com, before it became Tv.com. As a fan of monsters as main characters, I was fascinated. Only three or four human leads, with most of the main characters as dragons. No indication that it was an animated show, although some (not all) of the cast were listed as voice actors. So, a combination of live and animated? Puppets? CG? No idea. There were no websites devoted to the show, and apparently no fans talking about it.
I kept going back to TvTome over the next few months, reading the plot summaries and wishing I could see what they were talking about. Until the episode guide disappeared. TvTome.com was still there; it just no longer listed the show. After a month I realized it wasn't coming back, so tried the Google cache. It still had 37 detailed episode summaries, which I cut and pasted into a text file that I still have today. Eventually it disappeared from the Google cache as well.
IMDB also used to list the show
(proof!); now it does not.
So, is the crack in time from the latest series of Doctor Who eating up this show, or what?
