 RIP Peter Falk
After years of struggling with Alzheimer's, the man who was Columbo has finally passed away.
They say he couldn't even remember that role at the end. I hope he finds peace in the great beyond.

 Re: RIP Peter Falk
I grew up watching him play Columbo, and am sorry to see him go. He'll be missed.

One of the greats, my friends, one of the greats.
A test for falk fans. What movie had the villain yelling at him, "Max, you idiot!"

Jack Lemmon in "The Great Race."
Man, the movies I have loved him in. All The Marbles. Mikey and Nicky. The Great Race. The Princess Bride. The Brinks Job! The In-Laws! Murder by Death! A Woman Under the Influence.
I also want to see him as a beatnik in the apparently highly underrated The Bloody Brood. It was his debut and the movie apparently has beatniks in it.
Good god, am I ever glad that he walked this earth.

Also love his brief but memorable stint as a disgruntled cab driver in It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.

 Re: RIP Peter Falk
I was bummed by the news. I always liked the guy. Alzheimer's is a bad way to go. He deserved a better exit from life's stage. Here's to him. May he rest in peace.

 Re: RIP Peter Falk
Alzheimer's is such a terrible, terrible disease. Watched it take away my grandfather.
I'm surprised though, I could have sworn he had already passed away earlier this year.
Will probably watch 'the In-Laws' in his memory.

Er, that's 'cause he did. Check the date of the first post. Always time for more tribute to a great actor, though.

And let us never forget his unique performance as Sam Diamond in Murder By Death.

Oh Cliffster, always one to go straight to my heart. "So you really are Sam Diamond then." "Absolutely, sweetheart. I was in disguise in disguise in disguise."
