Re: Peter Graves Dead at 83
For all those films already mentioned and for hosting/narrating one of my favorite cryptozoological documentaries from the 1970's, Mysterious Monsters, I'd just like to say thanks, and I believe this is worth of one more reprise:
"He learned almost too late that man is a feeling creature, and because of it, the greatest in the universe. He learned too late for himself that men have to find their own way, to make their own mistakes. There can't be any gift of perfection from outside ourselves. When men seek such perfection they find only death, fire, loss, disillusionment and the end of everything that's gone forward. Men have always sought an end to our misery but it can't be given, it has to be achieved. There is hope, but it has to come from inside, from Man himself."

Didn't know he was The (original) Thing's brother. Cool. Airplane Aeterna...

Re: Peter Graves Dead at 83
Very sad. Graves will be missed. His as-spoken-by-Nielsen run through the symptoms of "the fish illness" was one of the most committed pieces of acting I've ever seen. The drooling and the uncontrollable flatulence was particularly impressive.

I just picked up Mysterious Monsters at Cheezyflicks.com you're right that is not to be missed. I also found Savanah Smiles there. which is another odd classic not to be missed.

Re: Peter Graves Dead at 83
This is a sad, sad day for us all. I'm going to go home and watch Killers From Space now.

"Give me ham on 5, hold the Mayo"...better yet, remember the many good times he brought us. And so much to choose from...think I'll start with KILLER FROM SPACE, and catch that AIRPLANE.
