Post The Haunted House of Horror
OK, so this was on TCM last night. A movie I'd never heard of, from our friends at Tigon, featuring Jill Haworth and Frankie Avalon. Could be good for a laugh, right?

It was very not good in a very not good way--namely, boring as hell, and dreadfully slow.

Anyway, despite programming the DVR for the time listed, and even giving it my customary minute or so before and after, it cut out near the end. I really don't want to waste money renting it, and I don't know if it'll ever be on again. So, if anyone's seen this, what happens at the very end?

The killer runs out into the night as the police show up at the titular house. We get a Blair Witch-type shot of the killer running toward us as the camera moves back at an even pace......and that's where it cuts off.

Can anyone help me out here?

While I won't argue with you that it's not a very good movie, I did find it enough of a curio to keep it after taping it off TCM the last time they showed it. Having said that, I don't remember exactly how it ends. But I will gladly dig out my tape tonight and let you know, assuming someone else doesn't beat me to the punch. (And such refreshing punch it is.)

Yeah, the Kid speaks truth. It ends as such...

SPOILER SPACE IN CASE ANYONE GIVES A FIG

The killer ices Frankie and then menaces a blonde girl. Suddenly a clock or something starts to go off which freaks him out. He runs out of the house and into the woods as the cops show up. We see a close-up of him weeping as he runs and then a long shot of him running off. Three fuzzy lights appear superimposed on the screen, which, when they focus as the rest of it fades away, turn out to be three candles on a small candelabra. They take up residence on the left-hand portion of the screen and the credits roll on the right.

Is that detailed enough for you or shall I convey the closing theme phonetically?

In other words, all I missed were the lights turning into a candelabra and the credits.

It just ends with him running off into the night, weeping and whining. I acutally saw the entire movie and didn't miss any sort of reasonable ending.

I gave up 80 or so minutes to watch a movie that gave me Frankie Avalon suffering a nasty death and not much else.

Man, @#$% that movie.
